Competitive Analysis
Site Objective
CLIENT OBJECTIVES
Based on our initial conversations with our clients, an ideal website for City Fun Center should show the entertainment center’s appeal as a fun, family-friendly experience for all while also being simple to navigate and user-friendly for all visitors regardless of technical experience. Some ways we could measure the success of our design could be through the following achievements:
- Improve City Fun Center’s Marketing and Presence
- Attract more weekday customers: City Fun Center experiences far less foot traffic on weekdays due to customers having school, work, and other commitments.
- Attract more regular customers: City Fun Center benefits more from having customers who come back rather and continue playing.
- Increase monthly party booking numbers: One of City Fun Center’s main sources of income is through large groups who book party packages.
- Broaden City Fun Center’s Appeal
- Attract more customers from older age groups: Currently, City Fun Center and its website primarily appeals to children between ages 4 and 12.
- Increase bookings for non-birthday events: While birthdays make up a large part of City Fun Center’s bookings, other events such as socials, get-togethers, and field trips can also be held there.
- Increase Traffic to Specific Attractions
- Increase awareness of new attractions: While laser tag was added as an attraction 9 months ago, not many of City Fun Center’s customers know about it which leaves it underutilized.
AUDIENCE OBJECTIVES
Based on our user interviews, the top priority for most users on the site would be to see the attractions offered by City Fun Center. This is important as most visitors will likely be on the site to learn more about the business. Once they become interested in the entertainment center, they will likely look into pricing and reviews before looking at hours, location, and contact info for their next visit. Returning customers may not be as interested in this kind of information and may just want to check the website to check for new promotions, attractions, and updates.
